Fill your heart with God’s promise of courage
(replace fear).

Fear
Whether the threat is real or imagined, a very unpleasant and distressing feeling caused by the presence of (or imminence of) danger, evil, or pain.

Courage
The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face fear, danger, or pain with self-possession, confidence, and resolute bravery.

The Enemy's Lies
"Look at you, you are weak and vulnerable to attack! This giant is way too big for you, it's going to take you out! You need to run and hide. Face it, you're defeated!"

God's Promise
Josh. 1:9, 1 John 4:4, Luke 10:19
2 Tim. 1:7, Isa. 54:17, Ps. 23:4-5
Phil. 4:13, Prov. 28:1, 1 Sam. 17:45

Faith in the Enemy’s Lies
As you look at your circumstances, and listen to the enemy’s lies, you feel fearful, inadequate, and timid. You falsely conclude that you are powerless to face this giant. Running and hiding seems like the only viable option.

Faith in God’s Promise
As you meditate on God’s promise of courage, you you align with the fact that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Knowing that He is all-powerful and that He lives in you, you rightly conclude that the enemy must be terrified of you. Your heart begins to swell with courage; you become as bold as a lion.
